OK the 2nd chapter of the memoir of a mage. Hope you all like it! read #1 to know whats going on.

Josh had heard a scream while he was outside cutting the grass. He had run over to where he heard it and saw a black ball with a note on it. He picked it up and read aloud, “This is Viper, I have took Jeria. If you want her back, come to Kerning city thieves hidout with 200,000 Zeny or watch her be killed. P.S. Saturday at 9:00 PM be there” He was furrious.

He ripped up the note and kicked the ball so hard it blew up. He walked home thinking of what to do and how to come up with 200,000 Zeny in 4 days. He walked up his front doors and opened it. “Finally!” said a voice inside, his heart jumped.

It was his father! Josh ran forward and hugged his dad until he couldn’t do it anymore. They were both crying hard. “Hello Josh!” his dad said smiling and pulling Josh onto his knee. “How have you been since i have been gone?” he asked Josh, “Good just one thing” Josh said loosing his smile. “Mom has been killed and Jeria has just been taken hostage.” he said crying again.

His dad pushed his face up and looked him in the eye. “Who did this?” he asked. Josh sat there wimpering on his dads knee until he stopped crying. His dad still looked at him patiently until Josh finally said, “Viper.”

His dad scowled at the sound of the word. His dad put Josh on the ground and got up and punched himself in the cheek. Josh sat there looking at his dad punch himself around. Josh shook his head and said, “Viper’s going to kill Jeria unless we come up with 200,000 Zeny by Saturday 9:00 PM in the theives hidout.”

Then got up and layed down on the couch watching his dad stand there. His dad turned his head to look at Josh. He punched himself one more time then landed on the floor with a bang. He hung his head then said, “Josh i’m going to tell you the story of Viper and why he killed your mom and took Jeria but first i need to sleep.”

then fell over. Josh jumped up and ran to him and saw that he was just sleeping like he had said. Josh got up and walked back to the couch laying back on it. He looked up and saw the black mark in the cieling where the bolt had hit when Viper had killed his mother.He didn’t want to think about that anymore to he closed his eyes and drifted off into a deep destructive sleep.

Josh woke up what seemed like minutes later but was accually around 14 hours. He lifted his head and saw that his dad wasn’t there. He listened and heard the grinder going and the T.V. on. Josh got up and walked into the kitchen.

He walked to the fridge and opened it up seeing milk, orange juice, apple juice and lemonade. He picked the orange juice out and drank it all up. He sighed and threw the bottle into the garbage. He walked to the couch and grabbed his dads head.

He didn’t move, Josh punched his dad in the shoulder lightly. It still didn’t do anything. Josh jumped onto the couch and looked at his dads face. Josh was blown back.

It was a man in all black with a thorns! Josh jumped up and landed on the edge of the couch and said, “Where is my dad!” The man just smiled and shot an ice bolt which hit the wall beside Josh and froze his hand to it. He struggled for a few seconds while the man got up and shot another ice bolt hitting josh in the feet, sticking him to the couch’s edge. Josh broke one of his feet out and kicked the man in the face so hard he did a back flip but landed on his feet.

“Your going to pay for that kid!” the man said turning his hand into an ice ball. The man threw the ice ball at Josh’s face Josh closed his eyes but it never came, he opened one eye and saw it was half of an inch away and it froze. Josh opened his other eye. He used his only hand to punch the ice ball away from himself.

The Ice ball hit the wall and froze the whole wall. Josh looked at the man and saw that his arm was cut off and his thorns was on the ground. Josh looked around for anyone that would do it and saw his dad with a claw! Josh looked at him amazed at what had become of the mage he had been.

His dad looked at him then turned to the man. He said something but Josh couldn’t hear it. Josh saw his dad walk to the man and do something to his chest. His dad got up and walk to Josh cutting the ice from his hand and foot.

Josh groaned looking at his hand. It was all soor, he walked into the kitchen and opened the cupboards and took out a white potion drinking it and pooring it onto his hand. He felt a bit better, he looked out of the kitchen door and saw that the man and his dad were gone.

So was half the house! The kitchen was the only part left of the house. He looked up and saw something no one ever wanted to see. Viper with his Gryphon.
