Cold nights. Pumpkin baskets. Candy. The spirits of the dead wander the Earth, and monsters run rampant – werewolves, vampires, zombies!

Picture this. You’re walking alone down the sidewalk, scurrying to your neighbor’s house, mouth practically flooding at the thought of his famed caramel apples. You trip while your head is in the clouds, cursing the developers of this neighborhood. The chill reaches beyond your clothes, your breathing locks up, and you can feel something sneaking up behind you. You turn, hairs standing on end. It’s.. it’s…

A CONTEST!!!

Okay so, this is a contest of creativity! Seeing as Halloween’s all about monsters, I’m asking you, all of you MMOTalers, to participate in creating your own Maple Monster!

There are a few rules, however, so hold your horses.

1. Deadline is October 31st. NO exceptions. 10 days? Easy-peasy.
2. All entries MUST be original.
3. Only 3 entries per person allowed.
4. Any media is allowed. Drawn and scanned, digital, even if you took carrots and made a monster out of them, then took a picture of it. It’s creative, isn’t it?
5. Don’t give me scribbles.
6. You HAVE to give me a link to the pic through a comment, mail, or through MSN. My e-mail is available if you send me a PM.
7. This isn’t quite a rule, but it’s very encouraged that you look at my lists and examples. (If you can’t read my handwriting, then ask me what it says.)

Deadline: October 31st.

Prize Requests from Winners: Due by 2 weeks after you’re announced.

Well, seeing as we’re all on different servers, I can’t offer you mesos or items. NX Cash is not allowed, Nexon Terms and Conditions agreement. So, I can offer you this: I’ll write you a story, length determined by your rank. Only prose, sorry, no poetry. It has to be related to Maple in some way.

If that prize doesn’t excite you, think of it this way: designing a monster will be fun, won’t it?

And besides, you’d be helping me work my talents. I mean, I’m okay at writing. Right? RIGHT? -shakes you-

Oh! One more thing! You can’t make it uber long and detailed. Be reasonable. I don’t want to be like Wolfguy184, writing like 60 chapters of ONE story. @_@

There are 6 slots you can fill.

First Place: A story of up to 15 chapters, written before anyone else’s.
Second Place: A story of up to 10 chapters, written second.
Third Place: A story of up to 5 chapters, written third.
Runner-up 1: A short story up to 3 chapters. (4th in line.)
Runner up-2: A short story up to 2 chapters. (5th)
Runner-up 3: A short story, only one chapter. (6th)

Everyone else: …a nice pat on the back?
