My body jumped up as I saw the person’s face. Pale, No eyes in the socket but darkness, blood gushing from its mouth, and its horrendous laugh in my dreams. I looked at the mouth of the cave as it was bright. Milkshake woke up and snuggled at my lap.
“Lex…? Are you okay? Did you have a nightmare, kyuu~?”
“I’m fine, Milkshake. I’ll be right back, i’m going to get some water.”
“Don’t go to the stream, there’s water here already, kyuu~”
“Ah… thanks, I forgot.”
“Kyuu~…”
I drank the water in the bottle Milkshake was talking about I obtained last night. It was morning. I’d say around 10-ish. As I went outside, Milkshake went to Haruki and fell asleep aside her. I found some eggs and some fruits growing near the stream. The stream had alot of green around it. Kind of like an oasis. I came back and lit a fire. I put the eggs in a big potion bottle I had and boiled the eggs in water. I squeezed the fruits I obtained to make a delicious juice and kept some fruits raw for Milkshake.
“Wake up, breakfast is ready everyone.”
Haruki, Tai, and Milkshake woke up and we all ate together.
“Alright, so, we’ll need to find our way to perion. I’m not sure what lurks out here, so we’ll need to be extra careful.”
We took our stuff and started to Perion. There was a sign pointing two ways. The letters on the sigh were old, and hardly noticeable.
“Alright, Lex, go left.” Tai said.
After a bit of thinking, we decided to go left. As we walked, rocks fell from the mountain cliffs above so we made our way quicker. We slipped and skidded down a cliff. We were stunned for a few seconds then we looked up. Drakes. We watched as dozens of drakes roamed the land breathing out fire. One saw us and showed its fangs at us. I pulled out my wagner and started slashing. Hot clumps of ash came from its nose. It spit out fire at me, but missed. I continued slashing at it, and it finally died. 10 more came and I knew we could be dead.

Muuooohh….
All the fire drakes froze and turned into ice particles as they shattered.
“Are you four okay?”
I looked at the mage that saved us and read her Name Badge. “Derr” I read from her badge.
“Yes, thanks for saving us. Ms. Derr.”
“What are you four doing around here? This is all drake–” She was interrupted by a mad drake. She froze it and it turned into clumps of ice as it shattered on the ground. “– territory, you shouldn’t be here.”
“We made a wrong turn, can you help us out?”
“Sure! Follow me.”
She invited us to her party she made. A small tag appeared on the top of our hands. As she led the way, drakes were turning into clumps of ice.
“Almost here.”
We were at the end of the Drake Territory and I saw a familiar face.
“Sierra? Sierra! What are you doing here?”
She looked at me with surprise and smiled.
“I’m with Derr. I went to town to buy some potions then come back and train with her.”
“Ah…”
We chit chatted a bit and became friends. As th party dispersed, the tags that were on top of our hands disappeared then Derr said
“Well, go straight ahead and there you will see the village of Perion.”
“Alright, thanks, Derr!”
We said our goodbyes to them and left straight ahead to Perion.
“Who was that? NinjaSierra? How do you know her, onii-chan?”
“She’s my old teacher, Haruki. She trained me once in a while and I learned alot about being a bandit from her.”
“Oh really. What happened after Lex?” Tai said in a curious voice.
“I…don’t really know. One day she was there, the next she was gone”
“I see…”
“Well, you saw her today, kyuu~”
“Yep.”

We arrived at perion. It was dry and desolate. We went to the potion shop and I filled up the supplies. While in the shop, we all saw a mighty Fighter. We looked at his Name Badge and read “SilverFoxR”. He looked at us and made his way to the door. “Excuse me” He said in a soft and calm voice. As we moved aside and watched him leave, we saw he went to the Drake Territory. Tai was talking to Haruki and stuff then she said
“Onii-chan, Tai wants me to go to the weapon shop with him, is that okay?”
“Oh… sure. I’ll be at that bench there.”
“Okay. Milkshake, stay with Lex, alright?”
“Sure, Kyuu~”
I went to the bench with the shade and sat there. I saw Haruki and Tai hike up the great Perion cliff as they made their way to the weapon and armor shop. Laying back in the shade, I started talking to Milkshake.

“So, Milkshake…”
“Yes? Kyuu~”
I just smiled and stroked her back. After a moment of silence, I began talking again.
“Milkshake… How did you get in the hands of those rogues…?”
“Ah… Since I feel… special around you, i’ll tell you.”
“I was hopping around ellinia looking for food then I saw some food upon leaves. At the time, it didn’t look like traps. I ate the food and they pulled a string. I was captured. They spat at me and whacked me around as I was hanging from the rope that was holding me up from the leg.” At this point, I was thinking up the scene in my mind and she just told her story. “I’ll tell you what the rogues said too.”
“Hahaha, stupid bunny falling for the bait.”
“Yep, let’s bring it to henesys, maybe it’ll be worth something”
“At the time, I was scared. I didn’t really have a family at the time because they abandoned me at ellinia. I was lonely and starving so that’s why I went for the food.” As she told the story, she was starting to become sad. She jumped on my lap and cuddled me.
“Milkshake… You don’t have to tell me anymore if it hurts.”
“No, no, it’s okay. Having someone close to you that you can tell it to means something to me… kyuu~”
“Ah… But if it hurts, you can stop at anytime.”
“Alright. Continuing, they brought me in a cage to Henesys. They hit the cage and threw it around with me in it, making me bump into the walls. It hurt. They tried selling me, but no one wanted to buy me at the time.”
“Ahh, stupid bunny, you won’t sell. Go steal some food for us!”
“I didn’t talk to them at the time. The first words I ever said was when I cried for help that time when you came. I didn’t obey what they said and for that they jabbed me with sticks, starved me, kicked me around, and that kind of stuff. I couldn’t run because I was badly injured and starved.”
“After a week, I saw some apples in a barrel. When they weren’t looking, I tried running there. Two apples fell from the barrel and I ate them both. They were both delicious. The rogues saw me so they went over to me and picked me up.”
“So, you want apples, huh??”
“They took an apple and threw it at my head. It hurt alot… They threw me down and tied a string around my neck. After another week, we were back near ellinia. I nibbled the string and made a run for it. They ran after me as I ran into the green forest. I tripped and fell over a cliff but some vines caught me. That’s when I said my first words. They were ‘Help me! Someone, anyone, help me, please!’, Remember? Then you came and saved me.”
She smiled at me as she snuggled my lap.
“I’m very thankful I have someone as wonderful as you around to watch over me… Kyuu~…”
“I’m sorry you had to… live through that… That was all so horrible.”
“Yeah… But I have you! Kyuu~ So i’m happy now, kyuu~”
I hugged Milkshake then looked at the sky.
“Hmm, it’s gotten hotter, don’t you think?”
“Yeah… My story was about an hour or two long.”
“Huh… Where’s Haruki and Tai?”

I looked at the weapon shop and saw two archers and a thief leaving the shop with two blindfolded victims with ropes tied behind them.
“It cannot be… That’s Tai… and… Haruki?! HARUKI!!!!”
When I saw the thief prodding Haruki and Tai in the back with a Stinger, I grabbed Milkshake and put her at on the hood of my Napoleon. I ran towards the three who captured them and luckily, I caught up with them.
“Lex… you—“
“Shh, Milkshake…”

I followed them as they walked. One of the archers looked familiar. It was the same one that came last night. I followed them from a short distance. For about two hours, I continued following them. The archer heard rocks rolling down the cliff so he said “I’ll be right back” and went back to check. I slapped my maple Wagner in his face and kicked him in the stomach. He fell unconscious with a moan. The female archer got curious and went back for the archer. I hit her with my palm in the chest, and she also fell unconscious. Putting her down quickly and silently with one arm supporting her as I put her down, my other arm I put my index finger on my lips doing a “Shh” as I looked at her setting her down. I continued to follow the thief.
“HURRY UP YOUR DAMN SLOW POKES!!” He yelled.
They stopped at a nearby cave. Inside the cave were stolen goods and food. He kicked Haruki and Tai to the wall and he sat down, writing a ransom note. I put down milkshake and told her to help Haruki and Tai when I was at the mouth of the cave. I put on my cape and I was nothing more than a black hooded shape. Milkshake ran silently to Haruki and started nibbling the ropes behind tied to her hands.

“Hey… Get out of the light, I can’t see what i’m writi—“
He looked up, and dropped his quill pen. My cape that covered me looked more like a robe. It blew in the wind as I stood there, looking straight at him. He looked at me for a second and fell into fright then pulled out a Jeweled Katar frma pile of mesos as I pulled out my Maple Wagner. Milkshake was done nibbling off the ropes on Haruki and Tai. They took of their blind folds and watched as I battled the Thief.
The thief and I didn’t say anything, we just battled. I stood there reflecting off the hits they used upon me. He went back and threw Kumbi Throwing-stars at me. He threw them two at a time but they landed on the floor with a *clink* as I blocked them with my Maple Wagner. As I was dodging his attacks, he threw chicken, potions, then a Battle Shield at me. I got out of the way when he threw the Battle Shield. He ran towards me and we both did a slash. Seconds passed and he kneeled with a painful moan. A long bloody slash was shown on his chest. He got back up and was going to stab me in the back. I turned around and grabbed his arm then I kicked him 5 feet back. The Thief was that captured Haruki and Tai fell unconscious. Haruki and Tai looked at me with a blank face as Milkshake hid her face in Haruki’s lap.
With a sigh… I said “Let’s go.”

Not realizing it before, I looked at my necklace as it was pulsing with a black mist over it. Maybe it was because I didn’t kill the thief that captured Haruki and Tai. I don’t know. I remained calm and the black mist disappeared. I put my cape from being a robe back to being a cape. There was a small cart inside the cave, so I took it and put Haruki and Tai on. Milkshake asked if she could lie on my Napoleon hood so I lifted her there. I carried the cart around perion, looking for a way to Ellinia. The way to Ellinia was closed, so we took the other route. A sign near the route said “Warning Street: Perion Dungeon Entrance” as we continued our way. The clear skies of perion grew orange with a shade of purple and yellow as it got dark. We entered a cave that lead to a jungle. It was a damp place. We saw bugs, snakes, stumps, and slimes run for safety as they saw us. We found an uprooted tree with an inside that looked like a cave. We camped there for the night. Near the tree was an apple tree and firewood was hanging from moss that grew on the trees. I settled the cart in front of the cave-like tree and carried Haruki then Tai inside the tree. They were already fast sleep. I checked my hood to find that Milkshake was asleep as well. I settled them in the tree and built a fire.

Slowly, I fell asleep looking at Haruki then Milkshake. Haruki, Tai, and Milkshake seemed cold so I took off my Napoleon and put it over them. I laid across from them, looking now at the fire. I saw a black shadow coming from the right of the cave outside. I looked there, then on the left of the cave was transparent figure that looked like me… except the face had black sockets for eyes because it had no eyes and it stare blankishly at me. A split second later, it rushed to me with a dash and grabbed me on my shoulders. It shook me with a grin on its face and blood came oozing from its mouth. It opened its mouth as if it was going to speak, but all that came out was blood and a “Uug… Uuuaahgg…” It stopped grinning and put on a sad face then it said
“Uah… Luh… Lahugg…. Leeeeeeeexxxxxxsssshhhhhhhhhhhuuuuuhhhhhhh”
More blood came out as I watched it stare at my soul and spew out blood.

“Ahh!!”

I woke up with sweat over my entire body. I looked at the left part of the cave’s mouth and saw nothing. I wiped the sweat off my face and took a deep breath. Milkshake woke up when she heard my exhale. She jumped on my lap and cuddled me.
“Lex… I’ll sleep with you tonight again. I want you to sleep well… Do you always have nightmares? Kyuu~”
I said nothing and laid back down. I hugged milkshake as she laid on my chest.
“Why won’t it stop…?” I said to myself silently
“Why won’t what stop, kyuu~?”
“Nothing… Goodnight, Milkshake.”
“Goodnight, kyuu~”
I didn’t have a dream or a nightmare afterwards.
I listened to the wind as it blew. I heard nothing then fell asleep. The wind blew once again, but I was already asleep, comforted by Milkshake.
