What is it with People bad mouthing random players and defaming them for no apparent reason? Like this one time, I saw this girl clothed in Nexon Cash, sitting on a relaxer, just minding her own business when all of a sudden, a Level 37 Thief comes up to her and says, “Ur Ugly”. I didn’t think much of it because I see this happen often, but I can’t help but feel drawn to this occurance. I assumed the female player was AFK because she neither made a face nor a remark.
Hearing no answer, the Level 37 Thief continues to berate her with insults about her looks and her personality even though he knows nothing about her.
This continues on for a minute or two before the thief falls silent before making an (F2) face, loudly exclaiming, “LMAO I defamed her!!”
He changes channels afterwards.
I make a blatant (F7) Face before double clicking her character and increasing her fame by 1 to its original number before the Level 37 decreased it.
Although I never saw those two again, I realize that people like this exist everywhere in Maplestory, and me helping out a few along the way would never change that. Do you think I’m making the right choice as a player of Maplestory? Am I merely doing it out of the goodness out of my own heart or am I just doing it because its convenient?

The easiest kind of good deeds are those that are convenient, see, and if you didn’t even do it, it’ll be worse off. ><
People like you make me feel bad for not being a good person to noobs and what not.
I never give them money or anything. If they’re nice then I’ll give directions of help them get somewhere, but I don’t randomly do good deeds. And the guy insulting her was probably either: 1) Her friend/guild mate, or 2) Very confused in the head. I’ve never seen people verbally attack AFKers, but that’s just me.

I’ve never been defamed, but people always mess with me when I’m AFK around Henesys or Lith when I don’t lock my minigame. They just leave rude and sometimes obscene comments.
Why would you waste your one fame/defame a day just to make someone feel bad for no reason? It’s inane.
I’ve been defamed whilst afk in GMS. I’ve also been insulted by people I don’t even know. What’s up with that? I just don’t understand it either.
In MSEA I had someone curse at me as he jumped by (Silver, remember? In Shanghai) and I have no idea why. I never saw him in my life. Oh well. XD People are dumb.
