”Are you ready?!” The general bellowed, towering above the two he had put on the job.
”Sir yes sir!” The two giddy recruits replied.
Okay…So…Backtrack on that score.
Above is how I would have liked to tell you the story…Unfortunately, it went a lot less professionally.
There he was. Ancali Renaaj. The proud Blood Elf Mage, working for a guild of bounty hunters. He had received a contract, and was ordered to bring a second recruit along. Of course, his choice fell to Ken Himura. Ken was new to the guild, but quickly fled to among the top ranks, like Ancali, due to his amazing stealth skills.
The two made their way to the leader of the Guild’s room, to receive briefing on this mission.
Knocking on the door ambitiously, a huge muscular man opened the door….It was strange. Ken and Ancali were…Tell, as in, 6 feet of height, both of them, yet this man stood easily at at least 8 feet as he towered above them. He stepped back to behind his desk, his next action was about to increase the duo’s fright of this man.
You see, he was huge, muscular, and he was the leader, so clearly extremely powerful, yet he wore a playful smile, and very military like clothes, and they had never seen him before, often simply briefed by his personal lackies. But now…Looking at this great man was…Amazing.
”Boys, take a seat!” He bellowed.
As he did so, out of sheer fear, Ancali and Ken move produced nervous salutes and both took their seats.
”I will not lie to you two.” He continued, pausing and pulling a tobacco filled pipe from his pocket, along with a lighter. He lit his pipe and took a big draw, keeping it in his mouth, clamped between his teeth as he spoke.”You have both risen to among out top ranks, and so you are being given the opportunity to work directly below me, only receiving the greatest contracts.”
Ancali and Ken’s faces were over taken by a large smile.
Seeing this the leader quickly continued ”However, you must over come two tasks. One will be today, and the second will be…Well, let’s put it this way. The second will be when you recover from the first. IF, You recover from the first.” With this the two recruits gave heavy gulps.
”A set of abandoned coliseums, just off of the cost of Ogrimmar, a clan of assassins known as the Deadly Gale resides there, 3 low classed Guild Members will be sent with you. You will be in charge of leading those members into battle, and getting rid of the clan. I won’t lie to you, this could very possibly mean your death, now. Go.” He completed, taking another deep draw from his pipe.
The duo got up, and walked out of the room, nervous. They found the members waiting out side the door.
The first one stepped forward. ”Ren Ishin, sirs!” He said.
Followed by the second, who then said.”Sen Kira! Sirs!”
Finally, the third stepped forward.”Kevil Kiramoto. Sirs!”
Ancali smirked.”Alrighty, then, lets get going.”
A long walk ensued towards a Zepplin that took the 5 to Ogrimmar. Once they were there they slept at an Inn until night, when they departed towards one of the worst missions they would ever take. There was an alter, and 5 small abandoned coliseums. A forcefield surrounded the coliseums for the time though. Ancali read the alter.
”For those he dare to entire these hallows,
Should hope that they can live,
But yet great men, or oh, fair woman,
We doubt that dreams will prevail,
If your willing, to fight us all, then reduce our magic to ashes,
But to do so, ambitious adventurers,
Mana thou shalt need.”
Ancali chewed on his thumb for a moment, while the other 4 pestered him, asking if he had a plan, until at which point, he charged a bit of Arcane into the altar, and the forcefield fell, surprisingly, into ashes.
Ancali stepped forward, before turning around. Facing his allies. A whole new him.”This is where the bulk of our mission will take place. We may not all make it back alive, but we must all fight as hard as possible. There are five coliseums, each of us will enter one, supposedly, there is one clan member in each coliseum. Let us hope we all live…”
The first 3 went into the first 3 coliseums accordingly. Evenly matched. Although the troops died, so did the assassins. Now for the two bosses. I shall start with Ken’s fight.
He stepped in, met with a Tauren Warrior. It started off rather horribly…Ken was brutally mauled, his attacks to weak to break Armour, eventually he decided it was time to finish this…If he could. His blades, a Serrated knife, a small red curved dagger, and a Sinister Scimitar, a long dark curved blade, began to glow purple. He took five ultra quick slashes at the Tauren, all piercing armour, and making deep gashes. At this point, Ken’s hands, and his weapons began to glow yellow, with two last extremely deep gashes the Tauren coughed up blood, before falling in two. Ken fell back, bleeding severely.”Ancali…Make it through.”
Ancali stepped into the final coliseum. It was huge in size, easily able to fit all of the others into it 10 times over. It was like a city…But hollow. He walked forward, looking around cautiously. Suddenly, with a gust of wind, a Night Elf appeared before him. A Hunter. While Ancali stood in awe, he slowly felt a quick set on stings in his chest. He looked down, and coughed up a little splash of blood, as he looked at 3 arrows lodged in his chest. Another 3 came, forcing a larger splash of blood up. It ended fast from there…Ancali was so…Nervous, so enraged at what had happened, and how fast he ahd let it happen, that all of his mana was released in a single explosion…
A blinding light…An Explosion. The coliseum was reduced to ashes, Ancali fell back onto the ashes that he had just created, his vision fading into black-ness.
A few minutes later, a team of Troll Priests arrived…
