On Thursday, May 11, as pretty much everyone knows, it was double experience and drops from 9AM ~ 9PM (PST). I was level 51 that morning, and was in the B3 Depot about 5 minutes before it started. I wasn’t really watching my experience, when all of a sudden something seemed off, and lo and behold, I was getting 240 EXP per Wraith.

At first I timed my experience every ten minutes, just to distract myself so I could go on training for a while. I lined up 5 CDs to listen to while training, and was off! I started playing at about 8:50AM, but I have to admit that around 3PM I was crashing. I’d levelled to 53 so far, and gotten six or so drops (nothing very interesting), and I just wanted to hit 54 and take a break! So I stuck it out for another half-hour or so, levelled, and happily logged off.

I was bored to pieces of training, but I’d left the best for later. Level 55, when I get my Thorns and max Bless. I wanted to get it the next day, or at least during the double experience that weekend, but it was Mother’s Day and my mom’s birthday, and I got caught up in reading a few books and swimming. BUT I finally levelled to 55 yesterday, when there wasn’t double experience. It was surprisingly fast. Obviously not as fast as during event times, but it wasn’t cut-myself slow. XP

My friend Mark helped me transfer the ingredients for my Thorns to ickle, who was in Ludi. Then he logged off, and I dared to drop my Thorns in the free market in an abandoned channel/room, log off, run onto Nurse and get them. I lagged really bad when I first logged off, and it was rather frightening — those Wisdom Crystal Ores are such a pain to get. But I got the Thorns.

Now, to spend around 5m on 60% staff scrolls.. *grimace*
