Hi guys, this is my first tiem writing a story… Hope you guys like it.

The sun ray shown brightly through the window of Dan’s house. “MUM!! I’m really don’t want to go to Victoria Island! I’m afraid i’ll never be able to see you again!” said Dan while he was sobbing. He wiped his tears with his shirt.

“Don’t worry Dan, I’m sure you will do just as good as your father,” said Dan’s mom.
“But…but….”
“No buts Dan, your a good boy and I know you will do better than you father.”
“Will I ever see you again, Mum?”
“Yes dear… I’m sure you will.”

1 week later

Dan woke up moaning. He was still hurt from the battle he had with that orange mushroom. God… I knew that I wasn’t strong enough for that mushroom yet. Better get back onto killing snails. He sat up, rubbed his eyes and went to grab his bag. He took out his toothbrush and went to the stream. He took his water bottle to fill it up for the day. He took his hand axe just incase he was attacked by a mushroom. On the way to the stream, he saw a lonely girl fending off a few snails, but it seemed like she was losing to the mob of snails. He could see lots of bruises on the girls arm and legs, so he decided to help her out. He sprinted forward, reaching for his axe. He was in range with the snails so he took a huge swing. Squelch. The blood of the snail sprayed over him and the girl.

“Sorry,” Dan said.
“Thanks,” said the girl.
“Why are you thanking me?” Dan replied, “I got snail blood all over you”
“You gotta be kiddin’ me,” said the girl laughing “ you just saved me from those stupid snails”
“Well, I saw that you were getting beaten up pretty badly so I decided to help you out a bit,” said Dan, blushing as he said it.
“I think you were very heroic… I think it will be nice to have you as my buddy!” said the girl.
“Oh yea, by the way, what’s your name?” asked Dan “Mine’s Dan, Nice to meet you”
“Right… Mine’s Lily, nice to meet you too,” replied Lily.
“Hey Dan, buddy me man,”
“K, sure Lily”

And so, Dan made his first friend. He was starting to like this adventure.

“Hey Lily, wanna go to the stream with me?” asked Dan
“Yea sure, why not?” Lily said happily

As they strode over to the stream, they see beautiful birds and cute animals. It was like Heaven. They saw a snail feeding on a baby rabbit. Dan couldn’t bear the sight of it, so he charged up to the snail and slashed it until the snail was sliced into 10 pieces.

“Damn you stupid snail!” said Dan
“That snail was so mean!” said Lily, crying uncontrollably.
After that… they never talked about it.

They got to the stream. Dan brushed his teeth, washed his face and took off his shirt to wash the snail blood off it. After they finished, the walked slowly back to Dan’s camp. After he packed, he told Lily that he was ready for the new adventure in Victoria Island. He asked Lily if she wanted to go with him. She answered yes. They checked if they had enough money, and set off to South Perry to take the ship. As soon as they were on the ship, it started. The captain said it would need at least 10 hours to get there, so he advised the passengers to take a nap. They did.

It was a beginning of a new life, for Dan and Lily.
They would never know what would happen.
