Well, I was playing on Silk Road today.Yes, because I saw the name on the Game List on the top, I wanted to see it. I saw it was free, so I downloaded and played it. Meanless to say, I love it. Though, don’t get me wrong, Maple Story is still being played. Now, anyway…

I was level eleven before I finally decided to take up the quest to go fight Bowmen Bandits. Now, at this time I didn’t know what level they were, where they were, or what they were surrounded by. So, while I was there, I asked someone where I could find these bandits. Hohyeong Mountain? I really had no clue where this was, so I checked the map.

As far as I had been by now was the Tomb. Which wasn’t that far. Searching around the map for the mountain, I found that will be the farthest I’ve been. Sighing, I made my way on my horse, I knew this was going to be a long journey. I galloped through the west gate of Jangan. I followed the road, checking my map everytime a I came to a crossroad. Not too long after passing the stream, my horse had fell. Dead. I had to make the rest of the way on foot. I picked myself up, getting ready to burst through monsters.

Soon, I found myself surrounded by young tigers. These weren’t violent, so I passed them with ease. Soon, I had come apon the parents. I was hoping these wouldn’t be hostile. As I ran through, some started chasing me! Being faster than I, I was torn to pieces. Healing myself from time to time, I finally began to see the mountain. Thank God! Before I had time to get a good look at the mountain, I was struck down by a tiger. There I lay, paralyzed. Made it to the mountain only to be killed by a tiger.

My helpless body lay there. I wasn’t willing to go back to town. I barely even made it here, how would I get this far again? I played the waiting game in my mind before someone revived me, only forgeting to heal before going off to fight one of the beasts. I felt humiliated. Now I was ready to go back to Jangan. I made a really stupid mistake in front of really high levels. How dumb! I decided to rest in Jangan for now. I would get stronger before taking on the tigers. Maybe I will be able to take on the champions some day!

Postscript: I would have put up screenshots, but I really didn’t know I would be typing this out. Wow! Frontpage. Thanks a ton!

  1. man. i stareted playing that game months ago and i’m still lvl 5. lol. i have very very very veyr little motivation to work on this game. so i just stick to maple.

    maple is my ryl replacement. 😀

  3. Ah, a friend told me about Silkroad and I had downloaded it, thinking about giving it a try (That was at least 5 months ago) And now, the game is still on my desktop unplayed. I still need to give it a whorl but my mouse refuse to open it. It only heads towards that orange mushroom icon and once I open that, I just get stuck in.

    So yes. Sceenie please! =D I would love to see the tigers, so interesting.

  4. Oh yes, Silkroad. I played it for a while, but the community was kind of a more PvP, less friendship kind. I like MS, where people tend to talk and get to know eachother more. Silkroad, however, Incredible graphics and lots of fun. If people talked more, I’d get on SilkRoad more 😛
