The Defilers- Prologue

The Defilers- Prologue

The time went very quickly. 2 years had passed after the defeat of the Mutant Monsters. First Sergeant Zhlink Sleyin had just woken up and felt like doing quick weight lifting. Sleyin entered the gym and had lain down on the bench press. He gripped the bar and lifted it with ease. Doest really matter. This thing has always been easy. Maybe it has to do something with wearing that suit too much? Sleyin expelled the thought out of his mind and did a quick mile jog. 10 miles later he sat at his desk. He wasnt tired after running 10 miles in 5 minutes or 150 bench presses.

Maybe I should go back into the warzone. He chugged down a cup of coffee and began on his paper work. The only reason why I actually went back into the warzone because I was bored. And I am now. He had finished 50 pages of paperwork in only 3 and a half minutes. He actually felt as though something was wrong. Sleyin got out of his seat and headed to the medical room. He checked out his blood and found that several energy signatures from the armor had entered his body.

Well it cant be that bad. He sat back at his desk and did several more paperwork. At 11:13 am he had finished all his work. He got a report that he had to read. It was sent by Captain Alexx Santiago herself. At least it was better then not doing anything for the rest of the day. He opened the file and read what it had said.

From: Captain Alexx Santiago
To: First Sergeant Zhlink Sleyin
Subject: Mutated Monster Report

I know that the Mutated Monsters have been defeated and all, but we cant be too careful can we? I need to use all the info that you know of the creatures and send me a report of all the creatures. Now hurry it up.

~Santiago

Sleyin yawned and scratched the back of his head. He began to type the reply.

From: First Sergeant Zhlink Sleyin
To: Captain Alexx Santiago
Subject: Mutated Monster Report

To tell you the truth captain, I was bored as hell. I dont even know why you need me to write this report but you are my superior. The report will go in the order from the order we fought them.

Super Fire Raccoons
History- They were hardly used in combat when we were at war with them but they were still tough. Ok not really.
Powers- They could grow in size, throw fire orbs, and even have more strength.
Weaknesses- They dont have armor so we could kill them before they even transform.

Taurogunners
History- Mostly used as the infantry but also leaders in a squad. They are BIG!
Powers- They mostly use chain-guns, rockets, and the occasional Gauss cannon.
Weaknesses- They really dont have much of a weakness. Just fire your gun at it until it falls.

Red Golems
History- They are slightly smaller then the Taurogunner but still big. They mostly just move around slowly, take hits, and smash stuff.
Powers- They have brute strength and fire off fire orbs.
Weaknesses- Aim for that small rock that floats underneath the torso and above the waist. It is a waist, isnt it?

Liquid Snails
History- They have to be the smallest of the group and they seem like the weakest. But once they enter its liquid form, avoid having it on you if you got a cut.
Powers- It turns into liquid and jumps.
Weakness- Fire off 2 shots to actually kill the thing. One for its liquid form.

Give my regards to Colonel Shangles.

~Sleyin

After finishing the report he took a very long stretch. He decided that he needed to sleep. But that was before he found an emergency help message. He opened it and found it was from someone that most people thought was dead. The message had a few bugs in it but he thought he could manage.

I th ght I could have sto ped them before they got out of El ath. I thoug t that wouldnt need he p fr m y u. was wrong. I ne d help. F llow th se coordinat s and help e.

~Chief Warrant Officer Cipher Alpha

Sleyin could hardly believe it. The Chief was actually alive. He opened his report again and typed in a PS. He then sent the report. It took only a few minutes when he ahd gotten another message.

You cant be serious Sleyin. But is he really?

He didnt need to think about it.

Yes. The ID is true. Get a Black Raven and meet me over here, I want to find him. Load anyone that you want.

There was a long pause.

Alright then. Meet you soon.

Sleyin hoped that Cipher was alright.

The Black Raven had becomed crammed with several people that Sleyin had met occasionally. Sleyin sat near the ledge of the Black Raven with his A.10 Calibre shotgun in hand. Private Remy sat near the door to the pilot seat, really nervous. Sleyin knew exactly why he was nervous. His older brother Sergeant Major Lee had died here. Sitting across from Sleyin was a some-what attractive young woman. Second Lieutenant Keiran Romas stared out to the battle zone. Sleyin remembered that there were 2 other Romas fighting in the war at El Nath. One of them was Bravo Company’s leader when they were at El Nath 2 years ago. She had died. The other Romas had been killed when the Luster crashed into the Sea of El Nath. If only they could see there daughter now.

Sitting next to Romas was Corporal Imppala. He seemed like the reincarnation of Lee. Badass and mean. He may not be a Marksman like Lee, but he is an awesome Sniper. For this operation though, Romas would be his spotter. Imppala didnt like it one bit. Sleyin couldnt help but keep glancing at Imppala’s wrist blades. If he wore the Maple Battle Armor, his wrist blades wouldnt be used. Captain Santiago walked over to Sleyin.

“I hope you were right about this Sleyin,” she said. “I took this bird and 2 pilots to fly us out here without the colonel’s permission.”
“I know Im right about this ma’am,” Sleyin replied flattly. Santiago stared out at the snow beneath them.
“I never thought we’d be here again Sleyin.” He didnt reply.

The Black Raven landed in the snow. Sleyin jumped out and did a quick double take. He knew that the area was clear.
“Sleyin take Romas and Imppala with your search. Ill stay here with Rey to guard this bird.” Sleyin acknowledge the order. He glanced at Remy. Remy actually looked glad that he didnt came along.

They ran through the snow searching for any signs of enemies or the Chief. A few minutes had passed and they had already ran 2 miles when they saw something. It was on fire and flying downward. They saw bullets fly at the object.
“Romas, check it out.”
She shouldered her M4 and peered through the scope. “It looks like a HummingBird Sleyin. And the pilot is. . .” She nearly dropped her rifle. “The pilot of the HummingBird is the Chief.”
Sleyin took out his pair of binocs and checked the object. It was the Chief. The Chief stood on the craft and jumped off. He crashed into the snow a few kilometers ahead of them.

They ran until Sleyin stopped them behind. There were a few Taurogunners checking out the Chief’s possible dead body. Romas fired off a few rounds at them before he told her too. The rounds killed off 2 of the Taurogunners. Sleyin got out of the cover and fired off his peace maker revolver. He cock the hammer back and fired one of its rounds at a Taurogunners forehead. Imppala finished the rest off. They all huddled around the body. Yep. It was the Chief.

His armor was damaged and the visor was slightly cracked. But otherwise he was alive. Maybe.
“Hey Santiago,” Sleyin called over the COM. “Get over here with the Black Raven. We found him.”

“Man did he mess the armor up badly,” Santiago complained. “He damaged most of the armors power system in only 2 years.” She stood up. “I wondered what happened?” Sleyin starred across the snow plain. He heard something walking there way.
“We’re going to find out captain,” he replied, shouldering his shotgun. There was a battalion of mutated monsters heading their way. Before they could fire upon them, a giant shadow had covered them. Remy looked up, dropped his gun, and pointed with his mouth opened at what was overhead. They looked up. It was a Mateon and Gray carrier.
“What are they doing here?” Imppala shouted. Before any of them could say anything a hail storm of bullets flew their way.

He thought he had heard something. It sounded like people. No, he couldnt have. There were no humans out this far, and he thought that noone would find the emergency beacon he sent. He had foughten for what seemed like a million years. He needed rest. He closed his eyes and forced the sound away. I must be dead, he thought.

To be continued. . .
