Location- Sea of El Nath
Date- Unknown
Date Estimate- Few days after Fort El Queenath has fallen
The snow drifted had stopped drifting from the sky. Trails of smoke lead toward the sky from the fires burning on the snow covered plateau. Most bodies burned in the explosion from the 2nd base. Some were either found by wolves and devoured, or the Defilers retrieved them. A pair of Taurogunners hiked around searching for anything that they can retrieve or better yet, eat. Thats when they found a helmet.
The helmet was painted black and had an orange maple leaf on the back of it. They also found a hand sticking out of the snow. One of the Taurogunners snorted and pulled the hand. A body of a male was what was attached to the hand. The Taurogunner smelled the man and knew that he was the one that survived the assaults.
“Should we bring this human back for examination?” the Taurogunner asked. “Or should we eat iy. I am hungry and this thing should fill my stomache.”
“We should bring it for examination. This armor and that human should be a great study,” the other Taurogunner replied.
The Taurogunner that had the human started dragging him. Yet the man had not stirred.
Days earlier
The Chief had jumped. And he had missed. He rolled onto the ground but did not fall off the cliff. He stared at the Black Raven fadin away from view. He knew that if it had turned around for him, they wouldnt make it. He had a few seconds. The Chief activated the Divine Shield, activated the impact cushions, and dug his boots into the snow.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1. . . There was an explosion. The impact blew away thousands of rocks. The Divine Shield had started to get pelted by rocks and dead bodies. He saw a part of the Elephant fly at him. He ducked and the part flew into the chasm. He looked behind him and was relieved. The Chief looked forward again and a destroyed Black Raven flew and knocked the wind out of him.
A few minutes later Cipher regained conscience and he had found that he was at a bottom of a chasm. He tried to get back onto his feet but stumbled. Luckily, he had his MA5C assault rifle and M6G magnum. After walking for a few miles he fell down onto his back. He pulled his helmet and took a deep breath. The air was cold and had a slight taste of smoke. The Chief then heard a slight rumble.
He looked towards the direction where the sound came from. There was an avalanche that was coming his way. He couldnt get up. He was too weak. He was going to die.
The Chief opened his eyes and saw that he was being dragged by a Taurogunner. He slowly motioned his hand to his magnum. He then fired the sidearm at the Taurogunner. He aimed and fire the gun at the other Taurogunner before it can respond to what jsut happened. Cipher climbed back to his feet and took back his helmet. He looked at the direction where the Taurogunners walked. There was an entire battalion of the mutated creatures.
He placed the helmet over his head and unslung his assault rifle. I mgiht be the only survivor. He looked upward and saw a Mateon and Gray ship. It possibly carried the mutated creatures. Seems like I must report this back to the main base. He dashed at the battalion. He obviously didnt stand a chance. But still, he was about to try anyways.
This was going to be a war in Maple Story history. And he might become a dead man. A dead hero maybe.
Just maybe.
