I have been playing this game on and off since the very day ms broke ground. What happened? I’m not talking about the new islands and cities that have evoulved along the way. I am talking about the people. The people of this game have completly lost there minds. Thier is no respect anymore none.
What happened to finding someone training and changing the channel without asking or at least What happened to sharing a room to spawn back and forth? What happened to being polite. Today some level 37 sin comes up to my newly created created lvl 33 sin….Says this is my spot now…move noob. In the old days eveyone around that area would have ks that puke out of the game. What did I do, I demamed him and pulled in the strogest character I have on this server….59ice/lit mage. I defamed him on both characters but got defamed by about 5 other from the map. Maple story is dead. People have lost there minds. This same person started talking about hopeing a get raped and swearing and talking about moms…this is no the first person to do this to me this week.
Last week someone in our pq quit right before the boss and stole the channel. This is not really new as it started happing about 14 months ago but all the same standard procedure was to defame that person. The person was all suprized and again started swearing and calling me a bitch and a hoar and talking about killing my mother. Honestly, what was he expecting…….he kicked us out of our pq that we( me and my wife) had been waiting on for about an hour. Of coarse I was going to defame him.
All the swearing brings me to my next point. What happened to the good managment? This has got to stop. ITs harassment. Harrasment has gotten so bad that i am reporting at least one person every single day. I would like to think its making a diffrence but the gm’s havn’t even contacted me to ask why I was reporting so any people. Why? Because they either know and don’t care, or have stopped watching the game all together. The fact that people are hacking on the main walking paths right next to the major cities is proof of that. Hackers…….why even play the game?
I am totally disheartend by the aound of degradation that has torn through ths game. Its shameful.

Maplestory was a THRILL before NX or even 3rd jobs came out. Barely any hackers and the GM events (Monsters Raid on the Towns) was awsome. Everyone was so nice and friendly.
Now, I feel bad everytime i play it for some reason. So i just stopped.

Nexon is starting to tick me off. I blame them for messing up the game. I mean, they take all these security measures to “protect ny account” so i can’t get a simple password reset, and let hackers run rampant.
*shrug* that’s what you get from a free game, I suppose.
I agree that nx cash has ruined the game. It went from simple donations to almost a requirement. Its one thing for them to pull in a little bit of money but I can’t belive the amount of money that people put into this. It is a free game as mitchichen said but they reserve many of the good items for nx. In a buisness aspect it is pure genis but in the moral aspect of a once fun way to kick back and relax it has gone a long way to destroy the game.
Side note* I’m close to breaking down and getting nx cash. My wife wants to get married in the game and thats the only way to do it, I just dont think this game is worth 26 dollars.
I can see your points of how the people have changed but it’s common in games, It happens in every single one of them it’s nearly unstoppable, Actually it is unstoppable, In order for a game to evolve people must also evolve, If there weren’t Hackers, Scammers, Swearers, Noobies, Pros, and just general people, The game wouldn’t evolve, I don’t like people massive complaining about hackers and people that annoy you because they are sort of what makes the game what it is now, Sure it’s horrible but picture the game where these people didn’t exist, Really think about it, If everyone shared and was nice you would quit in probably about a month, If a game has no conflict it can’t evolve, without scammers we wouldn’t have a report system, without hackers the games security would be a load of BS, Without people who swear and cause problems, there’d be no arguing and the interaction with others would be alot lower, People can’t be happy ALL the time sometimes people need to swear their brains off to get it out, Noobies are needed or else there would be no pros and no one to learn and play, Pros might come and ks you but they might have a reason to grinding 24/7 gets boring sometimes its fun to just totally own a map, These people are in every game, It’s necessary, for all these people to co-exist even if it’s for good or bad, If you don’t like it quit, it’s all I can say I mean in the beggining of course everyone was nice, You needed each others help to get around, in beta they would probably ask you every 3 minutes, “Where’d you get that weapon?” or “How do you get to______?”, It’s bound to happen and it’s inevitable,

YEA, YOU’RE RIGHT! I have been playing for a year and a half and it was pure bliss when Wizet owned it, nothing was wrong 9cept I was nub ) and eveerything was right,
but to the author: yea, so what? there are jerks in the world. Deal with it.

Even if He has problems with people like this, He can only report them, If you send them Screen shots they won’t believe them so they might do research, and if it turns out your lying or they don’t find any proof you might get banned, The problem with Screen Shots is that they can be easily edited, (Look for Ganzicus for proof xP) So it isn’t really solid proof,

As for Nexon and Wizet are turning the cheek on all these reporting and complaints, It wasn’t up till the massive hacker in every channel in every map catastrophe that they did anything and that is because millions of reports coming in per day or even hours, But now that things have settled they seem to have turned the cheek again, Think about it they also have updating to do for the game, It’s not like they sit on their butts and count how much money they made off Nx Cash, Plus Nx Cash was only to be made so people could freely express their out look on life/style, It isn’t a bad thing, It’s just that Maple Story is a lot more judgmental now,
