Chapter 2 : Brewing a Couple Mugs of Trouble

The Balrog has been awoken. It spreaded its wings and started flapping them, the Tauromacis and Taurospears went lunatic and started to charge towards each other in irritation. The Tauromacis raised their pole arms, charging bolts of lightning at the Taurospears. In retaliation, they raged through the Cursed Sanctuary, spears at stabbing position.

The two forces met, the Cold Eyes scrambled for safety in the crevices of rock. The Tauromacis took the first attack, firing lightning bolts at the raging Taurospears, crippling their frontline. The Taurospear chieftain initiated a war cry, his troops’ morale was boosted indefinitely and started to drive their spears into the Tauromacis.

The battle raged fiercely with both sides taking serious casualties, when suddenly, the Taurospear chieftain stabbed through the Tauromacis leader, with the spearhead jutting out of his spine. The Tauromacis legion was now severely disheartened but fought on, unfortunately for them, the Taurospears’ morale was now filled to the brim, allowing them to strike into the Tauromacis’ hearts with fear, literally.

The Tauromacis chieftain spitted out in Taurish, “This tells you that spears are better, fools!” The Taurospears laughed out loud.

The Balrog stomped towards the horde of Taurospears, who bowed down and for a whole minute, nothing was said. The Taurospear chieftain broke the silence, announcing respectfully, “Welcome, O’ Great Leader!” The Balrog spoke its first few words in the living world, “Rise, my minions, and let us conquer the Mapleworld! It shall be ours from now on! KILL THE PITIFUL HUMANS!!” And with a flourish, the Scourge of the land was created. No one could defeat it now.

No one except for that group of humans who had just entered the Dungeon. It took 4 days to trek through the Dungeon and into the heart of it, the Cursed Sanctuary. It was the first day and-

“I’m hungry! I want to EAAAT!”, Grace exclaimed, rubbing her belly.

“Why are you always hungry?”, Ris inquired.

James the spearman drew his pole arm, and went off into the darkness, the guild heard squeaks and a shout which was presumed to be James’. He returned to the resting place a few minutes later, carrying what looked like six Horned Mushrooms, one for each of them in his arms.

“A barbeque eh?” The hippie page asked out loud, and took out his hand-and-a-half sword and casted ‘Fire Charge’ on his sword. He swung it at a huge boulder, it opened a orange eye. “Are boulders supposed to have eyes!?” Grace asked, not knowing the severity of the situation. “STONE GOLEM, RUUNNNN!!” Fiona screamed out. Everyone scrambled further into the Dungeon, Clement and Ris stayed behind to take care of the Stone Golem.

“Hey! What about my foooooooo-” Grace whined while being dragged by Fiona and Leonard deeper in to the Dungeon.

Clement unclasped the buckle securing his two crossbows to his thigh and aimed it straight at the Stone Golem’s eye, “Damn it!”, he shouted, his two crossbows glowed blue, firing four golden coloured arrows from each crossbow into the Stone Golem’s eye. It stumbled back and regained its position, Ris jumped up and grabbed a few Shuriken stars and flung them accurately at the Stone Golem’s groin. All of the stars hit it where it was supposed to, unfortunately the blow was not powerful enough.

“Oh bugger.” Clement cursed.
