Check Suushie again

As I started an unfunded magician, to be Fizard on Aquila, I constantly worried about having enough mesos. It has consistently been a source of trouble. I rarely have nearly enough pots, so I require other funding. I will today, examine the funding that has been given to myself and my friend, suushie.

Myself

– Spent 20 minutes begging
– Received 5600 mesos
– A few trades canceled in the face
– Was polite
– Received 10k from Fenrir ^_^
– Was defamed once o_o;;

Suushie

– Spent around 200 minutes begging
– As of 01/20/07, Suushie spent 240 minutes begging
– Received around 150k in mesos o_o;;
– As of 01/20/07, Suushie received ~ 250k in mesos
– Many trades canceled in the face
– Was flamed and called a noob
– Was polite
– Never defamed
– As of 01/20/07, Suushie was defamed once

The comparison might make it look like that begging is a possibly good way of making money for noobs. Is it true? Is my friend just lucky or is the server Aquila a nice place?

  3. I’m usually one of those people who’ll cancel trades just because I don’t want to deal with having to repeat “No, thank you” 15 times. ._.

  4. Idk. I give away mesos when I 1) am in a good mood and 2) meet someone with good grammar and manners. I cancel trades most of the time too. I’d rather someone talk to me and ask first before trading me.

  5. I usually give money to polite good grammar-like people, and when the “can i have meso cuz im poor?” people come in, I ask them for meso, and they run.

  6. I give money to people if they ask nicely and/or are literate. Seriously, who in their right mind would give free money to someone that yells “MESOS PLZ IM POOR”? I usually cancel those and run. If I’m feeling nice I’ll say “Sorry” before cancelling and running.

  10. I agree with all of you. I would give away mesos when the beggars are polite, I have spare mesos, and especially if I’m in a good mood. If people stopped saying “Mesarz pl0xzors!”, they’d haul in a lot more.

  11. Sorry for the double post, but as of 01/20/07, Suushie spent 40 more minutes begging, and received around 100k in that time, but was defamed once.
