Adventures on Saturday

Hello MMOTales! We haven’t talked in a while, for various reasons. (stupid English essays…) But anywho, here’s how my Mapling week went.

So there I was, on the run from the “law” enforcers in Hackania. I made several small attacks on their pigs, but they seemed not to notice. So I bided my time until I could attack them in full force, that is, Saturday.

So Saturday came, and I got on, just in time for the 2x exp event. Surprisingly, I found that the area was rather deserted. Using this to my advantage, I quickly gained 60%, enough to level me up! With this knowledge in mind, I headed off to Henesys to get some new clothes.

At Henesys, I got a new bow, new pants, and a new hat. Oddly enough, I feel like a lower level than when I had the Composite Bow. Anyway, I then went to Vicious, expecting to get some new arrows, and I discovered a horrible secret: I needed processed wood, not tree branches. So I headed off to Kerning City, to create some.

At Kerning City, I created some processed wood. However, I learned from Nella that Shumi needed some processed wood and screws. So, I headed off to kill masses of Stumps. After I had killed said masses of Stumps, I had to head off to the horrible dungeon of Sleepywood, to get some Pink Violas.

Tune in next time, for

The Adventures of Soup! (otherwise I’m just talking to myself.)

  1. Ahh, the wonderful Pink Viola platform jumping quest. I was cursing loudly several times. After getting through the frustration of not missing or double-jumping off platforms in the first half, the second half seemed better in comparison. More timing and logic involved. But if you ‘enjoyed’ that, by all means while you’re in Sleepywood try Sabitrama’s quest to bring him the Pink Anthurium from the Forest of Patience in Ellenia. When I saw it was a platform quest as well, I could hear the sound of glass breaking in the future. I burned about 6 hours that evening, refusing to give up, especially when I got to the second section, but I finally made it through the gauntlet and claimed my prize. I laughed and swore heartily.

  2. Remember, try to relax on the jump quest.

Otherwise, you’ll be too busy swearing and crying to time your jumps accurately.
