Chapter 2

Me and Kennedy quietly crept along the borders of Kerning city. We were targeted after a groupd of 8 monsters. They had snarling faces and had rifles on their shoulders. GM’s have invented a new weapon named the rifle and gun. It is named that for it’s bullet speed.

A bullet is blasted out of the barrel of it and it digs into an enemy. They are deadly. “This is the first real rifle i’ve seen” Kennedy whispered to me. I nodded “same.” We crept along and into a building. I pointed to the stairs and Kennedy sprinted up them.

I went to the window and unsheathed my +7 red katana. It was clean and had a few scratches. I whispered a few words and it glowed. I have never known what those words were but I knew they were powerful and from my parents. I had never met my parents.

I was found on the roof of a hotel in kerning city. The dark lord had raised me until I had decided to become a warrior. He had turned against me and now hates me for what I chose. Now he is dead and my sorrow is great. Dances with balrogs, Dark lord and Grendel the very old are all dead. The only one that is still living is Athena Pierce.

When the GM’s started the monsters attack 300 years ago, the 4 masters fought greatly. Dances with balrogs died on the battlefield on the hand of a GM. Dark lord died soon after by a group of 40 or 50 monsters. Grendel was assasinated 48 years after the dark lord died. They didn’t find grendels body but a parchment that had read:

You will all die! fear us as the GM’s have created us and destruction you will see for we are invincible! send out your strongest fighters and we will fight to the death

I still remember the battle that we got into. I was one of the 400 that was picked along with my husband and Kennedy. We were 4 lines of 100 each. The monsters looked like they had billions. We lasted 40 days, after the 41st day our lines broke and everybody ran.

There were 3 people left fighting on the 42nd day, me, Kennedy and my husband. After that the people hid and now are ashamed of what they have done. I am now getting my revenge for everything they have brought onto us.

I got to the 2nd story window. I waited for my friends signal, it didn’t come. The monsters were directly under me when i saw the glow of her sword. 2 avengers were at my side in an instant. I threw them and they cut through the 8.

They turned around and lunged at me. The masked bandit threw herself in front of them and flew into a wall. “You’ll pay for that!” I yelled. I got 2 more avengers and threw like crazy. The monsters fell to the ground. 4 were left after i ran out of MP.

The 4 advanced on me and my friend. I threw another avenger. I got a MP potion out of my pocket and chugged it. I felt a little power restore. I threw 12 more avengers before loosing it all again.

The masked bandit got up and swung wildly at them. They knocked her sword out her hand and advanced some more. We were against the wall and nowhere to go. Supposedly the commander took out a small phone and pressed a button. I heard a faint ringing, it started talking some language I couldn’t read.

A small pirate ship came and landed on the building. 12 more monsters got out and came to us. They tied our hands up and made us walk to the ship. We took off and we got thrown onto the ground.

I heard a splash of blood and looked. I saw the monsters falling down 1 by 1. *Black*
