Hi, I’m back in blogging about Maple again…
Anyway, before I start my topic, I’d to say: I won’t be playing Maple Story for quite some time! At least up to March, after my hols end. I’m just trying to revise all the way; well, exams’ just 3-4 weeks away for me. >.<
And ‘cos of exams, there goes a year of enjoying Chinese New Year in Singapore. The thing is: Chinese New Year is just in the middle of my exams!!! Too bad though, as I was hoping I could have a good time then. -.-
Anyway, back to the main topic. I’ve been reading a couple of stories about hacking. Yep, it’s been the problem since quite a long time ago. I’m actually quite sick about it, since I entered the Online Game world. I played 3 games before, namely Warcraft III (I’m actually a Campaign freak when I started it, but rarely play DOTA at all.), Red Faction (some blood violence game that now has a couple of multiplayer maps.), and Runescape (it’s actually quite fun at first, but as time goes, plus a handful of dying incidents, I got bored of it.)
The very first cheat code I’ve used is in Red Faction. At first I thought it was fun, weilding the most powerful weapons at a very early stage. Then, when I enter Multiplayer mode, there’s one thing I COMPLETELY hate about it: cheat codes. People have been using cheat codes here and there and hacking their way to victory. The very first person I saw using that was a guy who used a cheat code to enable “go-through-walls”, “fly-in-mid-air”, “invincibility” and “1-hit-KO”. Since then I’ve found the game tiring, since I completed the campaign too.
Anyway, though I rarely play Warcraft III now, I’ve heard that the game had a lot of cheat codes too, as everyone knows. Compared to Runescape, there are also hacking tools to gain advantage. Runescape, on the other hand, has absolutely no cheat codes or hacking tools at all!
Now, to look at Maple Story. I heard that there’s been a lot of hackers recently. But now, to me, the number of hackers in the game is unknown. I’ve rarely see a hacker in my entire Mapling days. Not to forget, I reported my sis for harassing and got myself banned too, thanks to Asiasoft’s combined accounts.
The last time I saw a hacker, coincidentally was the last time I played Maple Story. I had just finished hunting for Jr. Necki’s skin in the Kerning City’s underground station. Just when I entered the place full of Stirges, I was smacked in the face by a bundle of Stirges. Before I realized it, a hacker nearby changed channels. “Dammit!” was the word I used, as I began hunting the hacker down by changing from 1 channel to another.
I always hate hackers, and always report when I saw one.
Anyway, after some time, the guy I was chasing apparently logged out, tired of the cat-and-mouse chase. should have caught him.
Anyway, I’ve been wondering… why in the world would there be hackers? What’s the enthusiasm of hacking when it means going against the law and gaining advantage over others? Is it that the passion of seeing yourself level up many times in 1 day? Or is it to just to catch up with other people?
Man… if only everyone has the thought of just training fairly… And if there’s such an MMORPG that has the hacking-free system like Runescape…
Those who hack in games will do the same means in real life.
{ D*E*S*T*I*N*Y^P*L*A*N }
P.S. I hope not to offend any people in this blog, particularly hackers. All I just want to convey to those hackers are: quit hacking soon, or it’ll affect your life too.
Why in the world are there people who don’t play by the rules? Why are there people who break the law? I don’t know the answers to these questions, but as long as there are these kinds of people, things like hacking will happen.
There are many reasons to hacking. . .
Just read some threads like Oblivion’s.
They hack for because they are too lazy to level
They hack to annoy other people
They hack to. . . Etc.
But the GMs are doing their job! I saw my ranking changed even though I didn’t kill one snail today. xD
bullspit. not true. u dun see me flying around in real life XD. lol jk. but i hack (but thers a gg update and no ce or uce. thank god at least the legits can lvl for some time) and i dun do the same means. im nice person in real life and outside life.

Lol, that’s not what I meant. Of course you can’t fly in the air or vacuum people. What I meant is, hackers, who get hooked on what they were doing, may turn worse and use underhand means in the future in real life. Yes, it does happen.
ooooooooo. i get it i think. XD. well i confessed i hack and hopefully i dun turn to one of those >.<
I think there won’t get an end to hacking. As long people come with new programs and people that are curious about hacking. Ofcourse also people who are waaaaay to lazy to train as a legit player.
there wont. unless nexon gets a way to literally go into how CE’s and UCE’s work and destroy em forever.
My world ranking went up by 666 over my absence O_o
Perhaps a lot of hackers got banned. Else, you’re hacked, perhaps for no reason.
Anyway, hacking in the world won’t end if not only Nexon, but also other game companies, and the people in charge of the super computer, do something about it. Perhaps there’s a source of all the hacking in Multiplayer Online Games. *Looks at games like Warcraft and Need For Speed* I believe the curiosity was partly due to the cheat codes that have provided to those non-multiplayer games. Sigh,
It won’t end unless all the humans are killed.
Its human nature to want to be greater than others.
Lolz. Dun curse everyone like that.
Er, Isn’t a meteorite going to hit Earth 22 years later? *Looks at online newspaper and found article* Oh dear, hope your curse doesn’t work.
Lol. Back to the main point. It IS human nature to be better than others, but not all use underhand means just to achieve this goal. The fun thing for normal trainers are, the achievement of reaching the next level or next job.
