Mmhmm, just a small blog about beginning CMS, nothing too interesting yet. ;]

It started out with the longing to play one of those test servers, you know, with 100x EXP and 100x DROP rates.

~Well, about that, after I spent 4 hours downloading the installation, and after painful registration, I found out that you needed to be invited to actually PLAY the test server. First reaction I got was: “Crap. I wasted 4 hours downloading something that I can’t even join.” But I looked on the bright side and thought that this would be a good way to practice chinese.

So, this is how cMS works. There are 4 main “Gateways“, the more closer you are to the server location in the gateways, the less “lag” there is. (I figured out soon enough that if you live in the U.S., you lag … pretty bad; and sometimes the gateways are full, so it’s like PQ, click and hold enter.)

After a few disconnects, since the server is so far, I finally got into Gateway 1. ~>Look at those worlds! >=O

Anyway, there isn’t a “training camp” for cMS, they got the good ol’ fashioned Maple Island. As soon as I got in, guess what? Dove directly into the CS, messing around. It’s pretty cool, you can buy wigs, and have 2 hairstyles, and 2 face styles, talk about instant plastic surgery! >=O

Oh, and another cool feature is the world map, it’s ancient style!

However, there are some MAJOR drawbacks in cMS.

~> For some strange reason, beginners can only go to channel 6. o_o’ So no super-nubs.
~> For some strange reason, if you have 2 characters, you HAVE to get on each on every week, or it loses all fame.
~> For some strange reason, if you have 1 character, and you do not go on for some time, the next time you play, the experience is cut in half. (WTH? I know it’s ABSURD. >_<”)
~> The lags for me are terrible.

    Lol, I realized after. XDDDD ‘Cause it was 9 PM and I had to sleep.

    Nope, you can’t go back. I think they just haxed their way in there. No one cares about hacking in cMS, that’s why everyone’s level 150+ lawl. >.<‘

    I don’t get it. Why can the US people connect to almost every Maple server, but they IPban every country with dedicated servers to it? I want to explore the other version too. :/
