No Blog Today

First off, no blog today because I have to study for the PSAT. I’m sorry, school comes first, all your bases belong to PSAT.

In Soviet Russia, PSAT studies you!!

Also, I was wondering what you guys thought about the added Amoria files in the patch. There’s some screens of maps on basil if you want to see it. It’s supposed to be gMS exclusive, so I’m really psyched. read more

Note: The writer suggests you read anything said by Madison (You’ll find out soon enough who this is) at a very fast speed.

Derrin woke the in the afternoon the next day, still tired from the previous night. Not only had he become exhausted from staying up on the tower with Kayla for almost the entire night, but he had been drained emotionally from the event as well. He rubbed his eyes in fatigue, wishing he could go back to bed. He knew, unfortunately, that he couldn’t or else he’d sleep the rest of the day away. He slowly rose to a sitting position in a process taking nearly five minutes and breathed in deeply. Sighing, he stood up and dressed himself. In a few minutes, he was out of his room and heading down the hallway towards the hotel’s lobby. His head hung as he walked; he felt like raising it wasn’t worth the effort. read more

Quickly after arriving in Orbis the Guiding Force’s elite rented five rooms in a hotel, The Yellow Rose, in the city’s finest district. Derrin was placed on a makeshift stretcher and taken to the hotel by three warriors. It was at this hotel that Derrin spent the next few days recovering. He woke up four hours after they arrived in Orbis, but quickly returned to his peaceful slumber. The next two days consisted of going in and out of sleep for Derrin. He saw Kayla rarely, as she had to help in gathering provisions for the rest of the Guiding Force that would arrive little by little over the next few days. He felt fine and yearned to be up and about but knew that he was still recovering from the battle, even if his mind couldn’t tell. read more

The crimson balrog had undergone an incredible transformation just like the lycanthropes before it. It’s skull helm now stretched all the way to it’s upper chest, the horns already on its head now branched off into threes, each sharper than the original. Its eyes which had previously given off a dull red glow now shone like orbs. The largest change though, was the wings. They had doubled in size and speed, and each flap sent a gust of wind hurtling into the opposite direction. It let off another roar before streaking towards Derrin and Kayla. Derrin remained unintimidated, his rage crowding out any other thought. His shadow formed a shield in front of them, and the crimson balrog collided head on with it. A shockwave shot forth from the point of impact as the two sides pushed with all their might to break the other. read more

Shouts could be heard coming from above. Derrin began to make for the door when Kayla grabbed his arm, “They told us we’re not to go up during the entire voyage. I’m sure they can handle this.”

The cannon-like contraptions he’d seen early flashed through his mind, and he nodded, “Yeah”. The others around the room seemed to be of a similar disposition. None of them wanted the boat to be destroyed, yet they weren’t willing to risk getting in trouble by going above deck. The pair returned to their seats, and listened to the sounds echoing from above. Explosions rocked the boat, and a mixture of roars and shouts echoed through the wood and into the lobby below. As minutes passed, the sounds changed. There were fewer shouts and more moans, and the roars changed. They were more barbaric now, almost inhuman. Slowly, Derrin made his mind over. “I don’t care what the man said, we’re losing the battle above; it’s obvious. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to die in a boat on the way to Orbis. I’m going up,” he said as he rose from the couch. read more

No Blog Today and Musings on RPing

I realize this isn’t going to get much interest because of the recent uproar about a roleplaying thread, but I just wanted to let my readers know that there won’t be a blog today (Monday). I just finished my homework and I have to get up in a little over six and a half hours, so I’m going to be very soon. Also, I want to make this next chapter a lot better than what y’all expect (no, it’s not crimson balrogs), so I’m putting in a lot of research and thought into this chapter before typing it up. read more

With his new resolve, Derrin improved exponentially over the next few days. He cut his obstacle course time in half each day, and the target practice was finally beginning to be two sided. He felt as if the assistant had to somewhat try now to stop his stars from connecting with a target. And while he still got no where even close to the assistant in their mock battles, he was still able to try out new attacks, skills, and methods of attack he was reading about in independent study. At night during his free time, Derrin practiced the more advanced skills that would take much time to even become usable. Not only that, but he had physically improved overall. He had more endurance; he was much faster, and could jump noticeably higher. As he had read in one book: read more

Derrin was dumbfounded. A second before that had been surrounded by five deadly assassins in downtown Kerning city and, poof, they had teleported to the residential section of Heneseys. He looked at the Dark Lord in confusion, and then to the assistant. “I used a rare and powerful artifact to take us here,” the Dark Lord said in answer to the silent question. “My power is not what it once was. Those were the five most powerful assassins in the land, and even I am no match for their combined strength.” read more

Derrin stood in shock. This was it, he had been caught. His dream would never be attained. No, I can’t let it end like this, he thought. Quickly, he grabbed two stars and blindly flung them backwards: a shuffle of feet, and then nothing. “Your skill is impressive for someone so inexperienced, but it’s still no match for me,” the man said as the two stars he had thrown were pinned against his neck. Derrin could begin to feel the skin break, but he remained silent. “You probably think I’m going to kill you, but you’re quite wrong,” the man said, hot breath against Derrin’s neck. “In fact, it’s the last thing on my mind. I want you to go to the residential area, take the first left, and go to the third house. I’ll be watching from the shadows, so if you even make one attempt to escape, I will immediately remove consciousness from your body and take you there myself. The stars and the sharp object in his back retracted and Derrin spun around. He blinked: there was no one. read more
