Finally, part 9 is out.. Resubmited
I jumped, mainly out of instinct, to my left, out of the way to those tusks. It charged past me, but instead of going into the fast aproaching wall, as I expected, but instead turned with un(…umm)boarly speed and wheeled around, without stoping to start another charge against me. I noticed a black object around its neck, and figured it was a sort of puzzle. Next time it would come back, I’d reach for it.
This may be the last episode i write for the puplic, depending on its success. This, unlike episode 6 and 7 is an action based episode. Enjoy
~I fell, covered in darkness, an unknown distance, with my arm streatched outwards, thinking I could somehow go back to the light. Without success. I landed, not hard enough to do any physical damage, but I still got the wind knocked right out of me. I sat up, grabbing my chest, trying to find air. I focussed all me energy into finding the first breath of air. After the minor, yet pain staking task, I observed my surroundings with my, now adapted, eyes. The room, if you could call it that, was a darkish purple, with what looked like, a shaft straigh opposite of me.
If new to the series, please take the time to read ep. 1-6 before reading this, If already into the series, please post a comment on episode 6, or vote for it, seeing as it kinda failed horribly…also, dont be afraid to post on the past episodes. I actually read them. Now to start episode 7…
Thank you.
After spending the greater part of six days resting in the hospital, I learned some information about my whereabouts. I was located at a mondernised metropolis by the name of Kerning. Skyscapers cut throught the smoggy clouds, and almsot everything was made of concrete and bricks. The greater forces in thie city was a theif guild. They controled alot of the town and terrorised alot of the other towns. I was very interested in this guild and decided to seek them out when I could.
White light blinded my retinas as I opened my eyes. Lost in confusion and a little disoriented by the recent events, I hoped, no, prayed that It was all a dream. I opened my eyes again, slowly this time to adjust to the light. I was in a plain white room, with tulips in the white windowsill. The curtains were closed, yet it was still bright from the enhanced torch light in the center of the room. The ground was covered in white tiles, melding into each other. There was a double door straight across from the comfy bed I layed in. I sat up, surprised, although I was expecting it, from sorness covering my body. I heard nothing.
Thought I couldn’t see his face, I knew, it was my brother, he had either went away and came back to us somehow or… possibly.. maybe he was watching out for us? Well, either way, right now is a very good time for him to come back.
“ Br…brother? Is that you?” I whispered under my breath. “Now’s not the time Solo.” He said back to me. I agreed. The beast withdrew and Lufrop, my brother, let his arm drop. “Why, young magician, should I not kill this ignorant boy?” The beast growled. Lufrop responded in kind, not with words but with raising his staff, pointing the head directly at the demon and saying “Because, quite simply, it’ll be the fastest way to die.” He span the staff around his back, grabbed the lower end with his left arm and the higher end of the shaft with his right, while moving his legs into a sparing position.
The beast turned its body to face me as well, its wings folding back behind it. It had a smirk on its face and put its hands on its hips, mocking me. ” Little, fool, do you expect to hit me with your shaky little dagger?” It said wiht a deep, growling voice. It was true, I was shaking uncontrolably, shrouded by fear. “None the less, I will destroy you, like all the others” I thoguht of the images, recent in my thoughts of people, people I knew, falling into nothing. Falling until they starve, or are relised by the Gods from there tortured bodies. I grabed the dagger, focused all my energy into the dagger, nearly brusing my palm.
I suddely jumped from the breifcase top and looked to the rear of the ship, wooden top grasped in my hand. A massive ship, made from a hulk of bone, and tatered rags of black, with a, seemingly unoriginal, skull symbol contrasting against the black. They were catching up fast, inhumanly fast making us seem imobile. People began to panic, rushing to and fro on the deck of the boat, squeezing past eachother, without prevail, in the doorway to the bowels of the ship, screaming replaced the sound of the rushing air as Shanks crew worked quickly in evasive action against the still nearing pirates.
I sat there, sprawled on the floor, as numerous people at a time got knocked off the boat into the abyss. The leading demon Flew straight towards the mast, and topled it over with a quick hit with his shoulder, sloing down slightly, but quickly recoving with a beat of his bat-like wings. I remembered the dagger that my father had gifted me when I was young, after the first time I went hunting with him, wich was located in my breifcase. Maybe if I could reach it, I could help out.
