Elias found himself staring into a starry sky in the night. A moon, like a silver coin, seemingly stationary, staring him in the face way above the thin clouds of the galaxy. A cool wind blowing over him was so cool, so refreshing, that he felt it was better to just go to sleep and forget about what had happened between him and Death. However, even with the stunning peacefulness of Elias’ new surroundings, he still had pestering questions floating through his mind. “Where am I?” was his most important one, but others consisted of “Why have I been chosen? What could possibly be wrecking this place? Will I ever return to Earth? What will become of my friends over the time that I’m not there to help? Did I leave the stove on? Why does grass exist?” With all these questions, he soon put them aside and lay back to sleep in the soft, cool grass. read more
