I (*Screenie #1*) am waiting for axemasster (*Screenie #2*) to log on because while getting rid of the virus i was taking no chances. I orriginally aked him to hold my equips, potions, …everything in case someone changed my pw and pin. So, i am waiting for him to log on so he can give me my stuff back. he usually gets on around 3pm or 3:30pm, …i am waiting, still no sign of him. I admitt i got a little worried which i dont know why i did becuase axe is a loyal and great friend. I continue to wait… then my other friend PsychoticJ (*Screenie #3*) logs on. i ask him to /find axemasster for me while i log off for an hour or so. I log off at 4pm and decide to log on just to check something. To my suprise he is online. Well, today i (*Screenie #1*) am in my living room watching tv while my brother (7 years old) is on my computer playing games on cartoon network. Now i have a links bar on top of my Internet explorer and he decide to click the mapleglobal site link. He goes to forums, clicks a topic, copyies and pastes the link to cheatmaple.com, then goes to it. Automaticly i get a trojan horse, keylogger, and tracking files installed to my computer. Now i didnt know about all this until I try to log onto basil and the password was changed. I was pretty mad, RAWR. So i quickly log onto maplestory (it is midnight) and ask my friend axemasster (*Screenie #2*) for help, his advice he gave me was 2/10 useful XD. But then he invited me to chat and invited his friend, BowCry (*Screenie #3*), who was an expert in this stuff and who was in college. Her advice was wayyy better than axemasster’s ^_^ The trojan and tracking i am 80% sure are gone. But there are other files that are a sever risk (says the spyware programs, pfft) but we talk it over and found out that we are 90% sure these files are harmless. ^_^ WHAT A RELIEF read more
