Lime-Vanilla
This story is based on part of the book “Dandelion Wine” by Ray Bradbury. It meant so much to me, and I just want to share it with you all.

He walked into the icecream shop after a sweltering afternoon. Plopping down on his usual swivel chair, he glanced left and right at the usual choice of flavors. Then something caught his eye. Alone on the counter, stood a lone flavor. Lime-Vanilla. Heck, why not? He sat there with a cup of the strangest icecream he had ever seen. He scooped up the light green frozen cream, and lightly placed it inside his mouth, the flavors tingling his tastebuds. He sighed as his body instantly cooled down. Looking around, he spotted an elderly lady, not less than 85, sitting three chairs away from him, enjoying the same delight he was.
The Fire Within Ch-2
Footsteps echoed through the long, narrow hallway. Ryan could see the light. With a last effort, he threw himself through the gateway, and landed on the platform. He was going to make it.
“Wait! Wait for me!” he gasped. The ticket girl raised her hand to signal him to stop.
“Do you have a ticket sir?” she questioned
“Of course!” Ryan gasped as he waved the blue ticket in front of her nose. With an annoyed look on her face, she stamped the ticket and let him board the ship. That was close…

Ryan gazed up at the sparkling stars. The wind blew through his long, brown, messy hair. He shifted his bangs to the right so as not to impair his view. The sails ruffled in the sea air. Ryan took a deep gulp of the crisp night air. Something was out there. He could feel it. Gripping his Asianic bow, he closed his eyes and meditated. His mind connected with his golden bow; energy flowed from his soul to his hands. He was ready.
