OK, I’m a post hoar, don’t like it, don’t read it.

No this is not a post for that Kat thing.

I’ve always been a big fan of nostalgia. Having said that, who here knows who Leon Lai is? Anyone? Anybody?
Ok, this doesn’t have to do with my post and trust me it will eventually get to MMO related crap but not just yet. I’ve been on imeem.com obsessively (though no one else other than one guy from my guild would make one: hinthintaddchoochoobeep.imeem.comhint).
At first it was all oooh I can add Yeah Yeah Yeahs or Black Eyes or lykezomg Fergilicious (Thanks, Lee-Dark). Then I found music that I remember rocking my diapers to. No, not like someone with serious bladder control problems, I mean like 17 years ago (shut up I’m old).

No matter how irrelevant this is, I’d like it if people can throw some good nostalgic songs my way and no they don’t have to be really Asian or FOBtastic.

Now for the MMO-related:
More nostalgi! Guess who I found today? Go back to my like 2-4th post, somewhere around there. I mentioned some guy who helped me out in El Nath! Solid! That guy, I found him by way of SMega.

It’s exactly (I believe) one month until the one year anniversary of the date that I first loaded Maple onto my computer (not the lag-o-matic son of a–that I am using right now). I went from generally ignoring others in the game (I know it’s pointless in an MMO) to having people introduce me as such: This is my friend Dj. She has problems/issues/she’s nuts/she’s gonna r4p3 joo/w.e. People can’t take a joke >=/

I will admit to being extremely stupid. I mean, I am. I used to play SNES games on the computer (say 6 years or more ago) and I had no idea what an MMO was. I remember talking to the NPCs in my games and thinking they were stupid and wondering how cool it would be if we could all use little pixel characters to navigate around a game map and talk to each other. Imagine what went through my mind when about 2 years ago I go to Taiwan and find my little cousin playing Ragnarok Online and I spend about an hour gaping at it.

Now I’m not thaat lame. I’ve seen some MMOs before, of course, my cousin was a Counter Strike addict (I don’t know if that counts since it’s lame *cough*) and a friend of mine dragged me onto that habbo hotel crap. So of course when I was in the habbo crap my excitement over pixel communication was a pretty big thing, but it was hardly a game. When I watched my cousin play RO I was like “YOU GET TO KILL THINGS?!”. Yes, my cousin still thinks I’m stupid and old and too old/stupid to operate most gaming systems (they won’t let me play with their XBOX since I said I don’t understand it and they thought I was technologically challenged but it was actually cause everything was in Chinese). Speaking of old, I’m gonna get even more old and feeble in one month and a few weeks.

Now I’m getting ready to receive my new laptop. New laptop=bye bye piece of crap that makes me lag openning Microsoft Paint and hello to endless possibilities of online gaming! I lied. Here’s a wee secret=I can’t play 3D games too long since my equilibrium gets messed up or whatever long story short I get motion sickness and I don’t feel like downing Dramamine just to play games on the interweb.
